Hormann Sectional Garage Door with Windows and Wicket Door
Our TGDC team recently had the pleasure of helping a customer add a new Hormann sectional door as a part of his house renovation project. The customer contacted us for a garage door request, which needed to be practical and sympathetically blend with the property’s aesthetics. But like many other projects, the real success lies in the details to ensure everything works together seamlessly.
PROJECT DETAILS
After the initial consultation, our team carried out on the onsite survey. We proposed a bespoke LPU 42 Hormann Sectional Door that met both the functional and design requirements of the customer’s project. The insulated LPU42 panels offer both superior thermal efficiency and longevity.
Functionality foe vehicle access was no less important. This door is electrically operated, paired with two handsets, so the user can effortlessly open and close the door with a simple button press. The new Hormann Bisecur Supramatic P Operator (Series 4) allows 75% faster opening speed (compared to series 3) and easily controlled by the BlueSecur app.
An integrated wicket door was added to allow for easy pedestrian access, without having to open the entire garage door, improving efficiency for everyday routines like bringing in bikes or gardening tools. In addition, four S2 windows with stain glazing were installed to bring natural light into the garage while maintaining privacy and style.
THE RESULT
The fitting process was carried out in our usual smooth and professional manner and our installation team ensured that all elements were perfectly fitted. Upon completion, the doors are not simply functional - they are a feature by themselves.
