3 to 2: Transforming Garage Spaces with The Garage Door Centre
Our local customer visited TGDC showroom to find out the solution for his triple garage doors. The old doors were not only drafty but also allowed mouse to enter through gaps. TGDC team stepped into to provide a solution that transformed the space, ensuring both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
PROJECT DETAILS
The customer had triple side hinged doors and a rear door that was not sealing properly which caused a significant inconvenience. Moreover, the overall appearance was old and in need of upgrade to secure the property.
To address these issues, our team came with a comprehensive and bespoke approach, ensuring a seamless process from survey to installation. Firstly, we recommended our long term business partner to expertly remove one of the support columns and installed a steel RSJ. This important step enabled the next process: transformation of the garage into a double sectional door so it can optimise space and functionality.
Next, our surveyor came back to measure the entire area. We finalised the door size and decided to opt for a double Teckentrup sectional door and a single Teckentrup side hinged garage door.

The results speak volumes. The finished installation not only met but exceeded the customer’s expectations. The new automatic doors offer quick and quiet entry, enhancing the overall usability of the garage. Our customer shared: ‘’ The sales man was very helpful in helping me choose the doors.
