At last - an up and over garage door with the 'Secured by Design' accreditation! This means a garage door with real security that has been tested and approved to a 'police preferred specification', with a Level 1 rating. This newly specified up and over door is manufactured by UK-based Garador, and is the product of their Guardian range

Many newer developments insist on 'Secured by Design' products and until now there has been only the Seceuroglide 'Excel' insulated roller garage door, an excellent product but only available as an electric garage door. The Guradian range offers a manually operated range of doors in sizes up to 9 feet wide (2743mm) and 7 feet high (2135mm) in both standard and purpose made sizes. The door has a steel box section fixing sub frame as standard, four-point locking through a new design of anti-snap cylinder, and great amounts of extra steel bracing across the inside of the door panel to prevent forced attacks. Additional steel plates have been fixed to the inside at all critical points behind the handle and the locking slam latches in each corner. The door is available in the Vertical and Horizontal design at present in a white finish as standard, but with optional colours available if required.
